Anshuman Gupta

Anshuman is a Partner based in K Law’s Delhi office in the Dispute Resolution Group. Anshuman specializes in commercial litigation, international and domestic arbitration and mediation.

He has represented numerous PSUs and private clients handling contentious matters across several industry sectors viz. aviation, banking, construction, energy, engineering, FMCG, logistics, manufacturing, multiplex, NBFC, real estate, telecom, textiles before the Supreme Court of India, various High Courts and District Courts, NCLTs, NCLAT, DRTs, DRATs and NCDRC. He has also handled ad-hoc domestic arbitrations and international arbitrations under the LCIA and ICC rules of arbitration.

Representative Matters:

  • Represented Ansal Housing Limited in LCIA arbitration proceedings against the Sri Lankan Government dealing with USD 100 million in dispute.

  • Represented Airports Authority of India successfully before Delhi High Court in a writ petition filed seeking directions to quash a tender of national importance.

  • Represented National Textile Corporation before the Arbitral Tribunal in a dispute worth Rs. 400 crores regarding modernization and revival of one of the largest textile mills of NTC being run by the parties in a JV.

  • Represented Jammu & Kashmir Bank in pan-India litigation for disputes ranging from Rs. 50 crores to 1000 crores before various High Courts, DRAT, NCLAT, DRTs and NCLTs.

  • Recognized by The Legal500 in banking and finance practice area in National Capital Region for year 2023.

  • Enlisted as one of India’s top individual lawyers (above 10 years’ experience) by Forbes India for the year 2022.
